As punishment, ISRO’s talented scientists Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) and Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan) are sent to the mangal project. Everyone agrees that the Mars expedition is an impossible step that India will likely wish to take in the future, but for the time being, Delhi is a long way away. Neither the institute nor the government are willing to invest in it. Because the United States has failed the Mars mission four times, Russia has failed eight times, and China has made multiple fruitless efforts. The same Impossible initiative, however, was made achievable by a team that was also denied funding for the initiative.

Rakesh and Tara assemble their squad and motivate them to complete this objective. What makes this mission unique is that the goal was to complete this squad in half the time and money that was normally required. This crew of 5 women and 2 men is portrayed in a fairly humorous way running a satellite from rocket building to entering Mars orbit.
